    The John Deere 420 cranked fine last week and this week it will not turn over and the starter switch on top of the starter gets hot and smoking when you pull the starter rod to start the tractor. What could be causing this to happen, thanks in advance

    Rivet pin

    Thanks for the help in finding the rivet pin for the reverse gear in my 140. I got it in but having a hard time mushrooming the pin I can not hold the bottom enough to flatten out the top. I was wondering if anyone new a tool I could use or a trick to do that thanks

    I am changing a broke counter shaft in my 140 and the 3 and 4 slide gear. The top shaft has a pin on the reverse gear that is not in my manual and I can’t slide the shaft out.
