I have a ‘79 2440 I just got done replacing the transmission pump lines on, both were broken and not allowing oil to be sent to the main pump. After repair the main pump is making a high pitch squeal but when hydraulics are used it is quiet and sounds normal. I don’t know what it sounded like beforehand. I purchased the tractor with the hydraulics not working. Could the destroking valve be sticking sending oil over a relief somewhere??
