3 pt hitch operation

If you look at the picture you will see an arm that has been welded and looks rusty. The Selectamatic controls do not work for raising or lowering the hitch. That rusty arm is how you raise and lower. I was told that there is a valve inside the axle that is probably stuck. Also, I was told the hoses were hooked up differently to make the system work. I have ordered the shop manual with the parts book so maybe I can learn something. Anyone have any ideas how to start to troubleshoot the problem with the system or just help educate me on my tractor. I had a problem loading pictures last time so this is a test for me also to see if I can get pictures to work.

Well Hoo-ray , the picture works ,,. and looks like you figured out some D_B s curses of hydraulics ,, That is the best exposure of the system ,,. Now if RG Martin or some of the other gurus can teach us ,,.
