Having issues with the brakes on my 4420 so I'm going to rebuild the master cylinder and slave cylinders. Got to thinking that for a 43 year old machine maybe the brakes themselves need replacement.
Apparently, after reviewing the schematics and other posts, the 4420 doesn't use brake pads/shoes but something called actuator disks. Each side has 2 so 4 in total. New ones are over $200 each!
That said, how do these actuator disks work and do they need to be reviewed for replacement? How can I tell?
Thanks for the education!
