was discussing a few things on another forum with a guy I know.. came to talk about fixing parts that were bent or broke and them being weaker once straightened..e tc vs scabbing on some metal to bring the strength back up.

Thinking back to all the steering draglink tues I've seen with angle on them ( when it would have been easier to just make a new tube.. BTDT many times!! ).. or lower 3p arms with angle on them.. or rebar 'splints' on upper lift arms.. etc.

struck me as funny :) angle iron must be the universal tractor bandaid.. :)

I once bought an old Ford Pickup to restore that had belonged to a Farmer. It's unbelievable all the welding that was done to it. Stuff like the spider gears welded in place. Ring gears welded in place. Fount end was all welded up. I had to replace just all kinds of stuff. Farmers shouldn't be aloud to own a welding machines.
