first hay cut with the new Kubota

This is the earliest in the last 30 years for taking off the first cut, mainly because of a good weather window. Not the best growth but got it done with only one breakdown, lost the GIB key in the pickup reel but luckily found it with a metal detector!!! Had to realign the equipment hitches to the new hight of the Kubota drawbar, and everything worked well otherwise. Found the Kubota was a little rougher ride the the MF65 but the PS and fast hydraulics made up for that.

NICE outfit gett'in the job done. GOOD for you!

Would be WAY more COOL to see a classic piece of American iron getting a workout, tho, in keeping with the theme of this site "Yesterday's Tractors", IMHO!

Looks great. Looks like eastern WA or Idaho to me. We just finished 30 acres here in NW Oregon. Yields were low due to lack of moisture.

A guy i worked with bought a new 50 hp.
Kubota hydrostat a couple years ago the
hydrostat went out with less than 300 hrs
while he was pulling a Newholland round
baler they told him the hydros aren't
designed to pull hay equipment. He traded
it in on another kubota gear driven.i
have never heard of that happening to
hydros but thats his story.
