I was following that auction. My goodness. On a side note that auction page is a great place to buy and sell. I do equal amounts of both 😎

hey T i got one for a 4020 ill sell ya for that and even deliver it. Cash only of coarse!

Yeah but did the buyer make good on his bid? That is an issue with online auctions.

Seen one youtuber put an antique chainsaw up for auction after restoring it in a video. Bids went up to $4200 as I recall, but when it came time to pay up, the buyer disappeared.

I had a 4010 with a turbo years ago and pulled a 12 row 7000 planter with dry fert.--drove 200 mi. and paid $225 for a m & w pan--thought I was nuts--but I could hang on to the dipstick if I checked the oil at noon--can we say "over-load"-----

No such thing as an over load! (That was dry corn, wet will break 100k)

Well, I don't do face book****. I still have one from the early 70's when I was trying to make a 1970 4020 P.S with hfwa into a 4320 powershift. They came out with the 4430 so I ordered that in the fall of '72 but kept the oil pan when I traded, never did use it again. I traded a 4430 for a 4440, then got to thinking. "I wonder what a 4240 will do" so demo'd one. With radial tires, running light and fast(er) like I had done with a 4000 earlier. I could do what a 4430 had been doing (running a 5-16" 1450 plow. I ran 5-18" 1450 plow with 4440's) I ended up quitting wheat and going to grass seed so ended up getting rid of the 4630 and 4640 and both 4440's, got 2 more 4240's, than traded 2 for 2 new ones the last year built, had to get out in '92....James
