Oliver 1850

Hi, I recently bought a Oliver 1850 diesel, it s the first production serial number 150421. It was sold new April of 65, curious if anyone knows when in 64 production started and if there might be any pics of the first tractors off the line floating around, it s a diesel narrow front.

You can find out the date for sure by ordering the build card from the Floyd County Museum in Charles City, which is exactly what I would do if I had the first production 1850. Nice find.

Would be interesting to find out if the one tested at Nebraska still
exists, Serial 147584. The specs for all four tested (gas 2WD,
Diesel 2WD, Gas 4WD and Diesel 4WD) in November of 1964 were
-099, which must be prototype notation. The serial numbers were
all close to each other.

Did these tractors get new nameplates and then sold as used?
Nebraska test

We have one of the 099 1850, ours is a Wheatland which was the only preproduction wheatland made and it was a Cockshutt which was repainted as an Oliver before it left the factory (we have two build cards because of this), we believe it was the only cockshutt as well.

Model Number 185-4210 Serial Number 147 589-099.

Our build sheet says built 7-17-64 and shipped 5-10-65
