So the number on the brass tag riveted to the engine block is 615684. Tractor data shows that to be a 1946 year build. Just above the brass tag and to the left there is a flat spot with the number 673327 stamped into it. Is that just the engine serial number? It has some gears in a add on cover to the front of the transmission case. Does that make it a six speed? Was that an option on all years or did they just start at a certain serial number? It had the mechanical lift gearbox on it. But someone removered the cover 40 years ago. I have a trans cover for one that did not have the lift. Will it work on this tractor? It has a wide front axle.
