Primer failure.

Primed a whole tractor with G2 poly primer. Sanded nice on tin work. On casting primer fell off/peeled. in chunks. Now have to remove and? Chassis was cleaned with acetone as well as tin. Does casting have to be primed with etching primer? Am trying some rustoleum primer to experiment. It sticks good. Can G2 be applied over.

Sanded most areas. Even areas where had previous primer peeled.

IMO applying product on failing primer will not work well. Evercoat makes good stuff, something must have gone wrong with prep.

Did you "kill" the rust? If not that is your problem.

Doesn't have much rust. Now going to be fun to remove primer. Not sure what's available here.
