before you start throwing money away clean the battery cables on both ends.
Take a hydrometer reading of your battery on each cell. Remove the plugs and
take a compression check. Then check tappets for the 14thous clearence. Remoe
the starter take off the band and look at the brushes and the commutator end to
see it is clean and the slots are clean all those things need to be checked
before spending money on parts. I forgot to check the timing also late timing
can cause bad starting
