Thing but not sure but I believe the 45 combine that used 7.50 tires would
do your job. wider rim but tire clearance will stay the same and not have to
reverse the rim and put more load on the spindal. I do know that worked on
the 68 Ford 4000 that I had. Those rims were used on the 25-30 pull type
combine as well and to get bigger tires on my 68 5000 ford got the 18 inch
rims off I think possibly a 55 combine and it made a big difference in
handling on both my tractors going with a rim for a 7:50 tire over a 6:00
tire. The 65 4000 had those rims on when I got it with the 7:50 tire. Worth
a look for some combine rims. Bolt pattern is the same standard 6 lug rim. Close to 20-30 years since I did that. The 4400 combine might have the same rims and off a junk machine would be a lot cheaper than new rims and you might get good tires with them.
