Why are there spark plugs welded to the cultivator frames? Both sides?

To tie a rope to for something. Would make a good way to hook a rope with knots in it for some sort of depth or length adjustment

They are a guide to help line up the cultivator with the crop, such as corn. The spark plug should be right above the corn plant at that point giving the driver a few feet of advance alignment before the cultivator got to the corp.

Besides after cultivating all day, you could dream of spark plugs all night instead of corn.
