What 2 row planter is this?

Hi I'm hoping someone can help identify this planter that I just bought. I was told it's a 246 but the main frame of the planter really doesn't look like it.
I'd like to order a operator manual and some parts for for it.
I have more pictures but they're too large to put on here

Pretty sure you have a lister. The mold board lister is much more common. I think yours might be called a disc lister? We had a four row McCormick mold board lister. It would go in the ground at least eight inches. would really make ridges.

I found part of one. It is just referred to as a lister.

Looks like a John Deere #6 Lister planter. Here's one I cleaned up a few years back.

It would if it is a lister-planter. IH made them.... can't imagine JD didn't.

That does look like what I have. I wish I had to depth adjustment lever.
Do they take the same seed disk as a 290?

IIRC, it will use the same seed plates. Don't quote me on that...........

If I move this linkage forward will it lift up better? It seems to really bind there. I need to find replacement bearing holders.

Ebay is a decent resource for plates. New ones (plastic) can be had through Lincoln Ag Parts.
