    I did make my own gasket using 1/32 material with a very thin coat of silicone gasket maker. I'm sure 1/64" would work just fine as well. I only used the 1/32 material because that's what I had laying around. It worked just fine. Have over eight hours on the tractor since the rebuild and so far...

    That's probably right. Think maybe this new pump wasn't machined deep enough. So, I machined the end of the banjo fitting bolt down just a little and that took care of the problem. Thank you for your Insite.

    I have a new Eaton style power steering pump. Everything seems to be the same as the original pump except there is something in the pressure port that wasn't in my original pump. It prevents the banjo fitting from threading in all the way. Does anyone know if this is a check valve or something...

    Thank you. I once had one of those horizontal pumps on my 961. The one I'm working on now is a vertical pump with the reservoir on the top. From the other threads on this post, I should be good to purchase either pump numbers I was looking at. But I'll have to do is dig deep in my pockets to buy...

    I was looking at that too after Andy provided the part number. Seen it on Ebay. I think that would work just fine. I'll keep it in mind if the doner pump I'm looking at tomorrow doesn't work out. Thanks Dan.

    I believe I have found what I'm looking for. It's a through fitting. The JIC threads on mine are damaged. But I think I've found a parts pump that I can use. Thanks again for the replys.
