    Need help with wd45

Had that happen on my WD45 before. Was sitting on the trailer ready for me to drive off for a show and it decided to break.

Flipping the rear wheels the other way

Yes. I have a fabric lift strap that just wraps around the rim and tire and I lift it that way.

I've ordered from them online and never had an issue.

Flipping the rear wheels the other way

I've used a engine hoist for my M rear wheels with 2 weights attached to each one. Jack the rear end up with a high lift jack, make sure all wheels are blocked first, set on large heavy duty jack stands. Make sure it feels stable and begin loosening hubs and swapping wheels. Just watch where...

    Petcock to dipstick conversion

So I started with John Deere's and switched colors over the years, but my dad still has all John Deere antiques. I got to thinking on how you check the oil in a lettered series JD and it's the same as A Farmall M or H. They both use a petcock, but the Farmall's is located in the oil pan...

    Petcock to dipstick conversion

I did this on my Farmall M, but it was an aftermarket conversion, so no calibration was needed. Do they sell a kit for a JD H? I would check Steiner as they have all sorts of aftermarket parts and add-ons.

Is operating a hand clutch a lost skill?

I have a WD45 and my dad has all older John Deeres we mess around with. Always have to take a minute to remember which way engages the clutch on each brand of tractor.

    Leak at sediment bowl

I bought one of these for my M a few years back and it leaked like a sieve. Had issues getting the fuel line to mate to the sediment bowl like you are and then had a hard time getting the bowl itself to seal. After trying multiple things nothing work and Steiner refunded my money and I tried...

    WD45 Sediment Bowl

I'll give this a try. If it doesn't work I'll probably just replace.

    WD45 Sediment Bowl

Anybody sell a good one? Had one I bought 10 years or so ago and it has begun to leak. I’ve had good and bad experiences with both Steiner and All States. Thinking of just trying the local farm store (Bomgaars).

1954 70 gas tank breather tube

Can anyone tell me the significance of the humps in the gas tank breather tube. We found this chunk laying on top of the tank when we removed the hood and no it was not attached at all just laying there (for who knows how long). Reason I ask is were planning on making a new tube and are...
