    MM 445 Speedometer

They are around Milwaukee somewhere if I remember right. They used to sell on e**y before steiner started selling them.

    4240 powershift lost all gears

Have someone shift f-n-r and watch the arm on the shift valve on right side of transmission to make sure it moves with the shifter. I have seen the roll pin come out of the arm also but that is harder to see with the valve on the tractor. Does the trans light stay on or just flash momentarily...

    MM 445 Speedometer

I had the same experience with steiner on a 445. I think they are made with incorrect mechanism for the speedometer. Yours reads the same as the 2 I tried so they are consistant. Most of those tractors have the speedometer drive stuck/gear stripped on the brake cover, so they don't get many...

Farmall 656 Gas no spark, has power to coil

It sounds like you still have the ignition resistor in the circuit. It should be behind the access panel below the dash support at about platform level. When you connect the black wire to the coil, it completes the path to ground for the coil and the resistor reduces the supply voltage to what...

4020 Crankshaft Wear Sleeve - Front - Need Help Installing

In your first picture the sleeve looks like it is on right. The lip on the ID bottoms against the front shoulder of the crankshaft. Yours is close enough that the pulley should seat it properly if it is not quite there. Sealer is a good idea but it's too late now. You could put a little #1...

    40 series dual SCV handle

There are o-rings that seal the lever shaft where it goes through the housing on both sides. To change the o-rings and/or switch the lever, you need to remove the top cover and drive out the roll pin through the center of the rocker. Then slide the lever out. there is spring pressure from the...

751 bobcat engine ?? anybody have experiance with a Peugeot engine ? thanks Bryan

I worked on one. Not a big fan of them. They used a timing belt to run the camshaft and injection pump. Snow and ice from plowing snow would get in to the timing belt area and cause it to jump time and trash the valves.

    Stupid Idea??

I saw one at a show where they put a pop up camper on top of the gooseneck. Didn't take up any trailer space traveling but needed a ladder to set up and to go in and out.

Any idea what this piece of equipment is?

It is a grain binder. Looking at it from the right hand side where the bundles drop off.

    4320 injection pump removal

Some had an extra o-ring on the drive shaft behind the umbrella seals that binds when removing the shaft. Twist the pump on the shaft when trying to remove sometimes helps.

    Moving a wheel

Remove the rim and tire from the cast center. It will be on the inside but you can move it around enough to get the pulley off. If you turn it sideways you can actually remove it over the cast if you have to. A lot easier than moving on the axle.

644a oil pan, 6-404 pan compatibility

4020 pan probably won't work but all other 6-404 and 6-466 pans will bolt up along with the appropriate oil pump cover/pickup. Proper dipstick would be the other thing to research if changing to a different oil pan.

    Question on 4630 power steering

Just to add, the return hose goes to the charge line going to the main hyd. pump therefore it has some back pressure on the hose.

john deere 2510 steering motor leak

#1 You need to loosen one for sure but both will make it easier. #2 Never had any problem there. As for timing, just push pistons to opposite ends and use the timing marks on the spindle and cover. If installed properly, the spindle mark should go from one mark to the other on the cover as...

4020 fuel line from tank to pump

#3 is the easiest option. Cut a couple inches from the tank valve and somewhere behind the radiator to eliminate any wear points. Done it many times.

The 3.9 is from under the head of the bolt to the mounting surface of the support (opposite side from the bolt).

    4020 front end alignment procedure?

As said, the steering arms are a coarse spline that if it is off, it is way off. Look at the old ones before taking apart. The arms are left and right so watch that. Toe-in is adjusted on the tractor as the center arm has to be mounted up to get the geometry right. 1/8 to 1/4 inch narrower at...

    730 power steering gauge adaptor

I made one by drilling through a 5/16 x 1/2 bolt and then welding a 1/8 pipe coupling to the head of the bolt. It's not pretty but it works.
