    484 hyd/slipping issue

Ok I read that and I’ve never seen the non Adjustable throwout bearing. I’ve done 454’s, 74 series, a few 84 series and the 85 series, have not done any 95 series which another poster in that thread said the non adjustable was in 695 and up. I doubt very seriously if it was in any 84 series...

    484 hyd/slipping issue

Yes the throw out bearing needs free play, sounds like you definitely need clutch adjustment. What I’ve been seeing lately on these tractors is the pressure plates are giving up before the clutch and that is causing clutch slippage.

656 Gas Hydro Blown Head Gasket and Holy Valve

I’ve used aluminum paint back in the day, also used to use shellac once in a while, I think now copper coat is just a better product, kinda like high tack with copper in it. Just my opinion. Good catch on the distributor, the op’s must be 2 holes off from matching the numbers on the cap, the...

656 Gas Hydro Blown Head Gasket and Holy Valve

Oh absolutely, didn’t mean any disrespect to Jim, I knew it was just one of those things that happens. I have my share too.

656 Gas Hydro Blown Head Gasket and Holy Valve

Well the 706 263 I just did was done at a supposedly very good IH dealership year’s ago ( this according to the man that bought it there) and it was a victor gasket on it. The gasket I put on from asap was an exact match to the victor. I really don’t know why a diesel gasket is even mentioned...

656 Gas Hydro Blown Head Gasket and Holy Valve

I just finished up a 706 with a 263 today, gasket just like op’s. Exact match to the one that came off of it. Not sure what the one in your link is.

    SA Wiring Issue

S Should say with a grain of salt that I’m basing what I said on it was still original wiring

    SA Wiring Issue

Nothing, you should only have one wire from switch to the mag, it’s a grounding switch, nothing more

    SA Wiring Issue

Didn’t assume anything, doesn’t really make any difference. Just makes it simpler to wire

    SA Wiring Issue

Oh it’ll work fine, I’ve done it once or twice that way, I prefer the voltmeter. Simpler imho and keeps that charge wire out of boxes and dashes. Janicholson’s point about a fuseable link would be best option and should be done if running it to the amp meter

    Case-IH 895 steering question.

“Nothing more than the hydraulic steering valve “ except the fact that some and I’m not sure about the 95 series, are timed and unless you know what you are doing need to be replaced or taken to a hydraulic shop. Unless it’s leaking I doubt you have a problem with the steering valve. If those...

    SA Wiring Issue

Bob M’s diagrams has all references, 1 wire, 3 wire, gens. You really shouldn’t run a 1 wire to the amp gauge, should be run to the positive battery cable stud on push button or solenoid. Then change out amp gauge for a voltmeter, wire appropriately.

    International 2400B industrial tractor

Check your shift linkage first, common problem when they get some slop in them. They will pop out of the slot and move into another gear , locking the trans in two gears

    584 bad engine

No difference, you can use your sheet metal

    584 bad engine

Short answer is yes, on the 85 series could be a few little differences but parts off the 584 engine could be used, they all basically use the same engine
