    It's a 52 or a 4B plow. Show us a picture of the hub cap on the furrow wheel. A 52 has a flat cap held on with 3 bolts. If you measure from the tip of the point to the bottom of the frame it is 21" on a 52 and 23" on a 4B.

    I think you are fine. There are 2 dowel pins pressed into the outer sleeve. Did you happen to check them for flat spots. If they have flat spots punch them out and flip them over.

    In the front of the worm gear there is a bushing that has an internal and external thread on it. There is a locking plug inside of it that is loosened with an Allen wrench to adjust the bushing.     What do you see in the sediment bowel? Your gas may have moisture in it. When you drain the carburetor you remove the water that settles to the bottom.

    Pressed frame B's were built from 48 to 52. The rear axle housing was changed from round to square in 1950.

    It's a disk tiller. The disks are mounted on a common shaft. A disk plow has each disk mounted on it's own stub shaft.
