1996 dodge Cummins injector pump.

Was called in after customer did a fuel filter change now can’t get high pressure fuel out of pump. I have solid low pressure fuel into and out of pump. Shut down solenoid operating correctly.
The filter they took off was rusted where it threads onto the post, and there was water in the tank from rotted out filler neck.
They had it running but it quit and haven’t been able to get fuel since.
Have injection lines off at the pump , zero fuel coming out.

Water in fuel MIGHT have seized one or more pump plungers, just ONE stuck plunger WILL keep the rack from moving freely for the governor to move fuel rack on/off as needed. Pump will need to come apart when that happens.

Have someone turn the key on and off a few times.
While doing that look, feel and listen to the Fuel Shutoff Solenoid to check if it's working.

thank you, it is. Has huge external linkage and magnetic actuator. Could work it by hand if necessary.
