242 ford industrial diesel engine

I have a 242 ford 4 cylinder diesel industrial engine that I have had for a long time it is part of a 3 phase generator that has 500 hours on it and it runs fine is there any market for the motor or parts its from the 1960's

yes it's complete and mounted on a trailer it's a portable onan power plant I was going to pull the unit apart and sell the engine because of the age.

I don’t think I’d break it down right off. If it complete try selling it in one piece for the time being. Especially if it runs.

I'm with Fritz on this. The engine is worth the same as the whole working unit so save your self the trouble of disassembly. It's probably a 480/277V output on the genny so an equipment/industrial auction might be the best avenue.
