9 ft disc mower and farmall 656

Hi there is a 3 pt New Idea 5409 9ft disc mower coming up for auction near me. I have a Farmall 656 Diesel with 2 pt fasthitch. I do have some 2pt to 3 point adapter arms would it raise high enough and work correctly? Do I have enough tractor hp for a 9ft disc mower on hilly ground? I do have a set of rear wheel weights and 4 100 pound front weights so I think I should I be good weight wise.

Also what should I look for on a used disc mower? What is a good price?

I've used a 45 pto HP tractor to cut hay with a 9'3'' disc mower on relatively flat ground. Be sure to check hats(blade holders) for excessive slack between units. If I was purchasing another used disc mower it would inspect machine with a segmented(modular) cutter bar not the continuous type that oils from one end of cutter bar to the other.
