IH 624 - Dissembling fuel pump, injection pump gear ?

Hello guys

I need some help with my McCormick IH 624 1968. Engine is D206 with a Bosch ep/ va 100h injection pump.

Need to unmount the fuel pump and send it to the repair shop.

I opened up the plate for the pump gears, but need to know the correct number? How do know if the engine is position correct?

The numbers on the gear I found so far is 3 - 4 - 6 and 706.

Leave the gear and three bolt hub alone, align the internal pump mark, then remove the pump nut and washer. Pump drive has a key for hub alignment on the tapered drive
shaft.

So you are telling me that the position of the engine fly wheel.
, or pistons location doesnt matter when unmounting the injection pump. All I need to do is to check the marking inside the pump?

The crankshaft/pistons DO matter, but if pump is timed correctly now the crankshaft will be in the right spot when the PUMP is in it's correct spot too..
