Rusty tractor

Ive heard people say they cleaned the rust off of their tractors with rust remover, so I tried it on the 1550 today. The tinwork I just rubbed it on and rinsed it off. The grill I let it set for a half hour and then rinsed

I don't remember what it was that I used on that barn find 66 that I bought a few years ago. I think it was some kind of rubbing compound that I used with a buffer.
 
Ya, I wasn't sure what to expect. Some improvement but not much. When things slow down, I'll try some wax to see what it does to the green but the white just needs repainted.

Acid/water bath.

A good chance the active ingredient in your rust remover is phosphoric acid.
I buy a gallon of the strongest phosphoric food grade acid off Amazon.

The last pic is my rusty carb bowl in about 25% acid and 75% water.
 
There is a product called FLITZ. Made in Wisconsin. I've seen u-tube video on that used on an orange tractor.
