I have read that stub guards don't plug like regular rock guards. Does anyone make stub guards for a ford 501 sickle bar mower? Thanks

I put stub guards on a Heston PT 10 and it made a huge difference. It used to almost always plug up when finishing an irregular field and running over already cut windrow. MUCH BETTER

Yes, I have the same problem. Do you know of any stub guards made for a Ford 501 mower or a supplier that I could check with? Thank you, Wayne

I have used stub guards on my mower conditioners and now have them on an IH 1300 mower. Bought them from Shoup. All the stub guards I've seen are double guards. They (Shoup) may have guards with the correct hole spacing to fit your Ford mower. Hope you can find some that fit as they really help stop plugging.
