A description of your backhoe might help get better answers. You might just want to set a backhoe attachment for a compact under cover or you might want to park a Case 780 undercover, backhoes are not all the same.

About the cheapest you can find is what I call a "Mexican carport". One of those metal tubing carport structures where the roof metal runs horizontal.

I think everyone misunderstood. It sounds like the OP can no longer care for his backhoe and is looking for a place that can give it a safe home until someone adopts it.

More meaningful answers can be given if details are provided. To me, and apparently to several others we are thinking garage, shed, etc. You seem to think he means "re-homing", do you have info we don't have? Type and size of backhoe play a part in this as well. If "re-homing" location is likely a factor as well.

Checking Charlie's avatar shows he has been around today but had no response to any of the questions raised as of his last visit about 11:45 AM EDST today.

Are you looking to rent some storage space for the backhoe or to build a new shelter on your property to house the backhoe? Most builders will provide a free quote.

To be honest, most construction equipment is stored outside all its life and is built to do that for several decades.

The cost to build a new structure might cost more that the value of most older machines. For occasional use many people are far ahead to either rent a machine or hire an experienced operator with a machine than it costs to buy, maintain, repair, insure, pay or loose the interest on the principle, haul, house, fuel and operate their own construction equipment.
