    Rollback truck and trailer

Again....I never said to FALSIFY ANY INFORMATION. Please tell me what is so illegal about insuring a FLATBED for personal instead of saying it's a rollback?? I was only saying that as soon as you say rollback you are going to complicate it because then they automatically think recovery truck...

    Rollback truck and trailer

I'm not telling you what to do. Just made a suggestion so the original poster can do what he said he was thinking of doing. Either way I don't care....go tell them you bought a rollback. Good luck getting insurance.

    Rollback truck and trailer

I'm just saying, tell them it is a flat deck not a roll back. As soon as they look on their computer and see what a roll back is, they are automatically going to assume you are doing recovery work. Recovery means real expensive insurance. I can't see them denying a claim if you are in an...

Show pictures from the American Thresherman show in Pinckneyville, IL

Looking at these pics, now I don't feel so bad about my CA's not being painted to perfection. Lots of original working tractors here.

WOW!!! Thank you very much!!! I never get to attend these big shows. We only have small local fairs up here. Great pics!!

    Rollback truck and trailer

I know every state/province is different, but with my F550 I had to put commercial for personal use insurance on it. And it was actually cheaper than my regular auto insurance here in Ontario Canada. It just took me quite a few tries to find an insurer that would actually LISTEN to me instead of...

    Taking Care of Equipment

I'm like that. I use my tractors, I just try not to mark or ding them up. Obviously the ground engaging parts lose their paint, but everything else I keep washed, greased every use, and I change oil and filters far more frequent than recommended.

    Old gas tractor choice

Yep, can't go wrong there either. Cockshutt had many industry firsts and the their transmissions and rear axles can hold up to a lot of additional power.

Ford 801 Power Master Gas tank imploded, collapsed after water spewing

Plus side, it will be cheap to fill up now. Wow, I've seen that happen on big tanker truck bodies, but never on a gas tank on a tractor. I've used compressed air, and freezing with water to push out small dents, but don't think it will work on one that bad.

    Old gas tractor choice

Allis Chalmers CA. or Massey 35. But as for your choices...the 8N has an unlimited supply of aftermarket parts. You can pretty much build one new from the parts sources.

Yep. Still got tractors I want for my collection, LOL

    Mecum Auctions

That's why I was wondering, because the stuff I saw at Mecum was always nice looking stuff, that looked like show tractors, whereas Aumann and the others usually seem to have mostly ones that look like they just came off working in the fields. I bought all my tractors within a 10 hour radius of...

    Mecum Auctions

Just curious, I have always wanted to attend one of those Mecum Gone Farming Auctions, as I follow them all the time. Has anyone ever went to one? It seems as though most of the tractors are from collections and they all look like museum quality restorations. Are they really as good as they...
