    Oliver 1365

I am in need of a good used power steering cylinder for my 1365. Does anyone have one, or know where I can find one?

    MTA

The complete unit will not interchange, and as others have said it is not worth putting a used one in without disassembling it and replacing whatever it needs. A new or rebuilt TA is pricey but if your capable of doing it yourself it doesn't cost near as much. I replaced my overrun clutch, sun...

    SMTA troubles

I am trying to restore a SMTA for my son and it is trying to put me in the poor house. I rebuilt the rear end and tranny, not cheap, but I got through that now I'm doing the TA which wasn't as bad as I expected until I figured out the TA clutch release fork is twisted badly. My question is, does...

    Good day for workout

She's a beauty just the way she is, if you ask me. I have a Super WD9, Super WDR9, W9, and an ID9 all in there work clothes but at least that way I'm not scared to take them out and work em real good. Thanks for the pictures.

How to flush a hydraulic tank?

Mineral spirits works very well but I would also take it off if I were you. The mineral spirits takes a little longer to evaporate but if any of it does manage to get into the system it won't cause damage to the pump or valves.

Gunk in Farmall H fuel tank?

Use muratic acid, Just empty the tank then poor some in there and fill it with water. After about an hour or two dump it all out and wash the tank with hot water, but you will have to get gas back in it or put a little oil in it to coat the metal because it will flash rust, badly, if you don't...

    MH pony sheet metal

I have a MH pony I am parting out, someone is wanting the gas tank, hood, and grill. The grill has some minor dings but the hood and gas tank are near perfect with a little surface rust. My question is, what would be a reasonable price for these items. I don't deal with Massey Harris tractors...

    Louisville Tractors

Is there any way to tell which ones where built there. I know the A's and Super M's had different serial numbers but what about the rest of them.

    Louisville Tractors

Did the IH plant in Louisville only make the A and the Super M or were there other models made there?

    Heads for W4

I just had the head done for my Super MTA, the guy put all new valves, seats, guides, and resurfaced it and when he gave me the bill he was apoligenic because it cost $299. I didn't complain, and the guy does some of the best head work I've seen. If you don't want to have them done for yourself...

    SMTA axle bolt torque

D Slater, Yes they are dot head bolts. They must be pretty hard or they would have snapped off.

    SMTA axle bolt torque

Thanks for all the input everyone. I just torqued them to 550ft lbs and they didn't snap off so I think that should be tight enough. I know some don't think this is a big deal but I had a super C that an axle bolt came out of and it made a huge mess in there, ended up parting it out because it...

    SMTA troubles still

Something else you might try is to put a jumper wire on the coil, another long shot but maybe a loose wire or bad switch and the viberation of the engine causing it to break contact. Worth a shot maybe. Good Luck!

    hyd

I would look into the valve, chances are it is not fully returning back to center when you let go of the lever.
