Is 2500 to much for a mint condition 1949 8N with a mower?

    Ford 2600

I saw that one. They a pretty proud of that one for the price they have. I have noticed that the Midwest thinks "highly" of these particular tractors. Way cheaper down south. Less rust as well. The loader isn t all that important to me either. I have something else to use for that. Thank you for...

The 3600 would be the biggest I could go. I have a weight limit I need to stay below due to some wet areas. I m a fan of the 3600 as well. I wasn t aware that the weights were so close

Seems there are several in Texas or down south. May have to travel for on I guess. I live in northern Minnesota. I really don t mind if I have to travel a distance. Seems the prices in Minnesota are greatly over inflated for them anyway.

I m liking the Ford 1920 as well. Between the 1920 and 3000 is where I think I m going to go after all the intel I ve gathered from this thread.

Thank you ultradog mn. I appreciate the offer. And would love any assistance. I m digging more into it, even a Ford 1920 isn t that bad of a machine. But leaning more towards the 2000-3000 series.

I m an old jarhead that hasn t ever worked a tractor nor understands the ins and outs of one. Yet, I appreciate the posts on the thread. I can relate the importance to certain things to things I do know, weapons. With that said, it seems my search should be directed towards a 2000(if it s live)...

So is a 2000 able to do all/most of the things mentioned as needed? Does it have a live PTO. looks like it has power steering, so in theory should have all the other goodies as well

    8N

I appreciate all the responses. I was thinking an 8N would work my small food plots and mix the clover on the old logging roads. Loved the price of them and also the look kind of cool as well. I need the tractor no more than 5500 pounds. Have some ash swells to go through on occasion. When...

I would also be interested in a jubilee also, minus the loader. Don t need the loader.
