    Pertronix ignition upgrade for IH 444 Gas

    Interesting part is I had solid core wires on the 300 all 12 years with no problems. All of a sudden last year they may have been the cause of the ignition problem I had. Who know????? My points are working good now and I'm not going back!!!

    Old John Deere bush hog

    I definitely would use corn head grease in the gear box especially since it has been sitting for a long time. You don't have to worry about a leaking seal this way.

    Ignition Question

    Ok there over time has been a lot of conversation about condensers on this page about good ones and bad ones. So where do you go to find a god one?? I take it from the past the ones from Pakistan are junk but how do you tell?????

    Cutting wheel weights

    If you can lift or roll them up so they are in alignment of the wheel, you can then use long two redi-bolts to slide the weight on and finally slide it onto the wheel. Start the bolts that hold the weight on and then remove the redi-bolts.
