Better stick to your 4020 stuff If I were buying & paying top dollar for a correct tractor, I would want it right. Better investment in the long run- 35 A

Hobby farm! Thats the answer I've been looking for! There are some after market outfits that sell add on over drives but they are 2 grand or more per copy. I'll start looking around. Thank You!- 35 A

voltage regulator VS cut out in 6 V system
You can use 12 volts on a 6 volt starter, just don't grind on it for long periods. I had an Oliver 88 that was 6 volt but changed to 12. Put brushes in it once in 18 years- 35 A

The cut out acts as a switch allowing the gen. to charge the battery, but does not control the amount of charge going to the bat. The older gen. usually had an adjustment screw on the end plate and or movable 3rd brush to control amperage flow to the bat. You could over charge the bat. if the...- 35 A

84 Chevy 3/4 ton
Guys, I have an 84 Chevy 3/4 ton that I put together from several parts trucks. The truck was a factory 305 V8 with 700 -R 4 auto. Still has the original rear axle.It now has a 350 with a 4 speed out of my old 73 3/4 ton. I need an over drive gear for hiway driving. How much trouble would it...- 35 A

Governors
I found the loose weights to be the problem in my A. Drilled the holes out to the nearest oversize & made bushings out of brake line. I enjoy raking hay in 3rd gear at 1/4 throttle & it"s been doing fine for 15+ years- 35 A
