    Hard throttle on a 400

    Have a 400 gas with a M&W governor . when moving the throttle lever with the motor not running it moves like normal . There is no binding . but with it running you really got to pull on it to get to wot . I had a super m with a rocket on it and it didn't do that . Any ideas to look for ?

    I'd dump the antifreeze in a bucket to ensure proper mixing . Then test the mix for 50/50 or so being your in the South not in Minnesota . Some new cores do have thinner tubes like stated and could be the gauge . If it's not steaming or boiling not a big deal till you want to work it some .

    Haven't run my 400 in a few months so I fired it up the other day . When it started it made a short funny noise like a dry bearing . Zing and that was it nothing else and ran fine . Anybody have this ?

    The small line is leaking and the customer said he tried heating it lol now it leaks worse . . I'd there any trips of fix to this ?

    I have access to 2 560s in my buddies junk yard are those rear end the same ? Who knows what will happen to it yet .

    I'll pull the motor and junk the rest before I do all that . Sold the 10 wheel weights , power steering that leaked bad and the sloppy 2 point hitch plus he bought 8 other various wheel weights 6 of them are sold .

    Still try to figure it how I'm going to repair it . It's kind of a U shape and the flap is pretty thin . Hey a bet look at it tonight when we get the 2 point off . I'll start a new post when I get going on that .

    It's a good sized horse shoe . The people were going to move it and it must have been a chunk of ice stuck on the bull gear and it popped . Been working on other things now . Throttle lever was all loose and the water pump schive is bad . behlen steering is loose and leaking bad .

    But the governor don't work . It a rocket governor why is the tab going in the carb so small ?
