    Your thinking the crankcase breather is plugged. I never added oil to the crankcase in the 40 or so hrs we used it. I think I wore most the oil. Something else to check.

    Ok I think it does have live pto we got it last summer and used it about a month. I know it does have the factory PS if my memory is right it's a 56. Will do some more looking in the book.

    During hay season last year the 60 started spin oil out of the back of the belt pully. Then it quickly lost its clutch. Pulled it apart clutch disc are dry and fairly new. No oil on this side of belt pully. Pulled belt pully and don't see a seal just a grudgy dust cover. I think I have two problems.

    I have never seen a 2040 but i have always found 6 bolts or more on the bellhousing. Look under the dash. Don't ask me why but a starter will often have to be removed as well. Check your service book some Trans require stuff to be undone or you'll spend money on more stuff.

    More 706 trans mystery parts

    Poped the cover off to put the park brake bolts back in, and found these in the bottom or against the side cover. I know I am missing the rollers, the roll pin is from the range shift cam, but where does that clip looking thing go?? See anything else missing or needing replaced?
