    6 volt

As others have said, bigger cables are key. I use 00 size. Also, I found that the bendix on the starter of my 2N was shot. Replacing that was the single biggest key to getting it turning over as fast as a 12v system. I was surprised that it'd make that much of a difference, but it did! There is...

    6V battery

I had this problem on my 2N (also 6v), and it went away when I replaced the Bendix on the starter. I'm blown away how fast it turns over now.

    Mysterious lever

I have this same lever on my 44 2N, but pulling it completely disengages everything. No drive, no PTO. I'm guessing it's broken. Anyone have a link to a manual?

    Carb carb question.

    Ford 8n crack in engine

Somehow I don't think lapping is gonna cut it. My real question is: is this seat too far gone for a grind?[/img:ae13026ba9]

Strange ring around gear lever shaft inside transmission

Well, I'd prefer not too late! Fortunately, she doesn't even run yet, so I have some time. I'll add it to the next order.

Strange ring around gear lever shaft inside transmission

That makes sense. Add it to the list of things to fix! Thanks everyone.

Strange ring around gear lever shaft inside transmission

Hey everyone, been a longtime lurker (well, since May when I bought my 1944 2N), and have found most of my questions answered via a simple forum search. But this has me slightly stumped. While filling the transmission with oil, through the filler hole I found a loose ring around the gear...
