    1950/51 John Deere B (styled) starting issues

    The starter switch is different than mine (1951) . Mine has no terminal on the side. There’s a little notch on the electrical connection. Be sure it doesn’t change position as you tighten the battery cable. Be sure the starter doesn’t have paint keeping it from grounding.

    My 1951 B with a wide front end has lifted a landscape grader box completely full of dirt with the Lindeman ABG2000 hitch.

    Adding a three-point to a JD model A

    I have a 1951 John Deere B with a Lindeman Hitch designed for it. Hitch is an ABG2000. Another one was ABG2001. I am using a landscape box scraper. My B has a wide front end, but I would like more weight on the front, because of uneven terrain.

    Don’t forget to clean the three tiny holes near the throttle plate (side of the throat)
