    work on a 52 8n?

Thanks everyone. Those are some really cool looking setups, I am looking forward to a snowy season.....maybe not the cold but the snow. I don't have a welder and my welding skills are novice at best from borrowing a buddies welding gear here and there. This looks like a good reason to bug the...

    work on a 52 8n?

I recently was searching for an option to plow forward instead of backward on the 52 8N and came across the photos below. Does anyone know if this setup will fit an 8N (always love to see pics if someone has a photo of the setup). This shows hydraulics which I don't have a hydraulic setup on...

    massey 35 dozer blade fit/work on 8n?

Floating through the ole CL today and saw a Massey 35 for sale with a dozer blade. Got me to wondering if it would fit/work on an 8n??? If so have no idea what a fair price for just the dozer blade itself would be. Here's the link, not many pics that would help me see how it connects... as...

solenoid and 12v wiring (sidemount) question

Evening all, I have recently converted my 52 8n sidemount to 12 volts. I got the conversion kit from this site and a new 12v coil from napa based on a part number I found in an earlier thread. For the most part everything went well.... almost everything :-) From what I have read the original...

    Freeman 806 loader?

I haven't personally seen a Freeman 806 FEL before on an 8N. Not sure how it connects to get hydraulic pressure etc. Here's a CL add (the normal disclaimer that it's not mine) http://fredericksburg.craigslist.org/grd/5267712397.html My question is what do you think the value should be, how...

    Halloween hayride

Last year I used my 52 8n to pull a buddy's 12-14' utility trailer (high wall mesh) around (on a paved street) for my kids and a few of the neighbors as our houses are a bit spread out. It quickly turned into a hit and the trailer was loaded with several kids and parents at least those who...

    cold start reccomedation(s)

I did a needle adjustment earlier this year when i was checking if I had fuel flow from the tank to the carb, and set it per the manual and suggestions on this site. I bought the 8n just shy of two years ago from an older gentleman who took good mechanical care of it....paint well thats...

    cold start reccomedation(s)

Wow thanks for the conversation and suggestions. Putting a little heat (work light) on by the intake manifold/carb for about 30 minutes before seemed to really help. I always keep the battery well charged with a battery tender. I do probably need to do some maintenance on the points / check...

    cold start reccomedation(s)

Hi everyone, Looking for any additional tricks or suggestions on cold starts. My 52 8n 6v sidemount is a complete bear to star when it gets really cold. Ok in virginia that means sub 20 degrees becomes hard starting for me. 6v treats me great 90 percent of the year and trying to keep...

ammo can front mount as ballast (pics??)

I was thinking of mounting an ammo can i have to the front bumper (I have the type of bumper that will accept a trailer hitch ball). Figured I would toss the tire chains into it as ballast since according to tractor supply they weigh about 100 lbs each. Has anyone done it before and if so can...
