    1961 871 SoS band adjustments

    I saw a post about the select O speed trans band adjustment and wear relating to the thread d path on the adjustment nut. I posted two pics to this thread and would like an assessment on if my hands have been adjust to hell or still good. Thanks!

    I had to drain the tank and unscrew the housing off. I don't think there was any other way to do it! Truly a pain in the rear!

    Thanks will! I wracked my brain and keep after it until no stone was unturned. This forum has some of the most seasoned tractor owners that are a wealth of knowledge.

    Posted a bit back about stalling after a tune up. After rebuilding carb, full tune up (with points) it came down to a tricking fuel line. After getting the chunks out, the '61 871 powermaster runs like a dream. Pic

    1961 Ford SOS 871

    thanks Hokie! i saw another post with something similar on an 8N. Dell had mentioned a nice checklist of things to go through while doing a tune up. I think the zenith carb is suspect, the gasket has a nice burnt gummy look to it. but i think i need to rule out the point adjustment first...

    1961 Ford SOS 871

    hello all Bought a 61 SOS 871 this past fall. 3rd owner, ran great until i left the fuel line open over a few days. Started her up, ran her across the farm and she stalled. I looked at the carb and it was pouring out gas from the bottom. Was able to get her into the garage with no issues...
