    That's correct wore out, I was referring to the spacers you noted. Guess I should have called them shims.

    I am installing a new clutch disk and bearings with the existing clutch assembly into my 5610. The disk is a 12" single stage clutch with 25 splines. When I installed the clutch assembly onto the disk/flywheel there is a gap where the spacers used to be. I dont remember removing the spacers...

    I just went through this with some help from destroked. My 5610 (256CID block with a 4.2 stroke crank) crank was changed some years ago with a 4.4 stroke crank and shorter pistons. But I didn't figure this out until I assembled the block with longer pistons to match a 4.2 crank. Longer...

    Thanks, I will try to do that. So then I assume the 268 pistons are shorter from the wrist pin to the crown? I will have to find out the dimension differences between the two pistons. I assume the block dimensions are the same for either engine.

    I am currently rebuilding my 5610 (LA314C, 256CID engine with a 4.4 piston and a 4.2 stroke) with a new crank and pistons while reusing the existing connecting rods. When I installed the crank and pistons, the pistons now run above the engine block by .120 +/- . So I compared the new crank...
