    1550 clutch

I've had good luck using OTC engine lift brackets and a chain sling for pulling the engine/hydrapower.

    White 1370 at Auction

It looks like there's an open station White 1370 at a farm estate auction in East Springfield (Otsego County, NY) this week, 8/14. I can't make it but would be interested to hear what it goes for and what kind of shape it's in. Macfadden is the auctioneer...

What is the advantage of hydra power?

Also, I find Hydrapower handy when baling hay. When I hit a heavy section I can drop the ground speed on the fly. I don't use it for too much besides that.

What is the advantage of hydra power?

I see you're in NYS. I saw Jack Miller had an 1850 w/o Hydrapower out on the lot recently.

    3 speed leaking

Mine was leaking from the countershaft support shaft on the back of the unit. The o-ring was bad. I waited until I put a new clutch in and did it then since the engine had to come out to get at it. I put a new Agco seal kit in while I had it out.

    Tach Drive on a 1550

I've been having issues with the tachometer sporadically not working on a 1550 diesel. Sometimes it's fine other times it doesn't work at all. It's not the cable, it could be the tachometer but I'm wondering if anybody has ever had issues with the tach drive on the side of the engine and whether...

Leon Helm ..... Poor Old Farmer .... music video !

That was filmed at Gill Farms in Hurley NY. The older gentleman in the blue shirt is Jack, a great guy and a true gentleman, he built up the farm over the years to 1300 acres of mostly sweet corn after getting back from WWII. The farm was sold to Warren Buffet's son a few years ago. Jack passed...

    White 6175

I saw this at a dealer's lot today so I stopped to look at it. The first 6175 I've seen, I didn't realize that the Workhorse name was used this late. It is an impressive tractor but way too big for my needs!

    MFWD Spindle Nut Removal

Hi Mitch, thanks for the advice. Someone used a chisel on a nut on the O/U so you're probably right about seeing chisel marks on the spindle nuts. I called around and was told it's 2 3/4" but I'll post back when I do the job. Do you normally replace the axle bushings? Thanks also for the...
