John Deere 2840
I absolutely love the tractor it rides awesome runs great and is pretty strong but I can't get this one leak fixed I bought it out the bushes for 500$ with a spun main beating so I trashed that engine and put a used engine in it everything else on the tractor is in good shape and ready for paint...- 76jd2840

Yes sir at first I thought this was the main problem because someone had installed the seal improperly. But after replacing twice I now know that I have some other problem may it be a worn shaft or a problem with excessive pressure in the case. Which slip rings are you referring too I've been inside of the tractor a few times. Is it 27 that your referring too?- 76jd2840

My Jd 2840 keeps blowing seal at hi-lo clutch assemblies between the hi lo clutch and clutch housing and leaking hydraulic oil into clutch housing. @pjbrown?- 76jd2840
