Not a CASE, but an interesting tractor.

You should shoot that over to the Oliver forum. It would be interesting to see if any of those guys know the whole story on a rig like that.

    White plow number help!!!

Maybe someone who knows more about these things could correct me, but I'm sure any 16" Oliver/White semi mount would have the same bottom that you had. I think a 549 was the newest version capable of 16".

    Thoughts on Lurch high crop

Just curious, mind if I ask who/where your local case guy is? We've got a pair of 94 series (plus a 1070 and a 2090) that we run here west of Blooming Prairie and there's not a lot of mechanics around who are too excited about working of those trannys. You know, since they aren't quad ranges...

    Hey jon f mn

No problem. I don't mind finding things for others. Sometimes the thrill of the hunt is even better when someone else is writing the check!

    Hey jon f mn

Don't know how close this is to you, and I'm sure you don't really need it but it sure would be a neat piece. Untitled URL Link

    Started baleing hay this weekend.

It seems like you post mostly 70 series tractors. Is the 1030 your first 30 series? How do you like it compared to the newer ones? Just curious since we have all 70 series or newer, so I've never driven a 30.

Anybody familiar with a 5540 plow?

Maybe gauge wheel isn't the right term, but I'm thinking of the wheel that some semi-mounted plows have on the back end to control depth. Its just ahead of the last bottom on the opposite side of the plow. I've never had one, but I assumed on a larger plow it would be helpful keeping the depth...

Anybody familiar with a 5540 plow?

Saw a 5 bottom 5540 plow for sale. Looks good and the price and size are right, but I was hoping for a plow with a gauge wheel on it. Is it possible to add one to it? I'm going to assume that if it takes a wheel off another 5540 I'm going to be out of luck finding one. What about a wheel off...

    The Blue Snow Phenomenon

I've seen a couple posts about the May 2nd storm and I got to wondering if anyone else in MN or WI experienced what I call the blue snow. The snow here in southern MN was so wet and heavy that it had a blue tinge to it. It had that much water in it! I heard of a local yard that was moving...

Schaffert ReBounder on a 900 Planter

I've looked at putting something like that on our IH planter too. I looked at Keeton firmers. Any reason you are looking at the rebounders instead? Are they much different than a Keeton?

Do they think we are stupid or something?

Its funny how many times you see a someone selling/auctioning a Case and they say the powershift was just gone through. Really? How many guys are gonna spend the kind of dollars it takes to redo the rear end just to send it down the road.

Since none of us can plant corn yet...

If we ever went away from an IH, I think I would look into a White. I've heard other people saw the same things about them: simple, accurate, and a lot cheaper than green or blue.

Oops! Looks like a I spoke too soon on the nobody planting yet thing. Lucky guy!

Since none of us can plant corn yet...

I spent some time today looking over our IH 800 planter in the shed to see what it may need to get ready for the field. It got me thinking, what do you Case guys who row crop farm run for a planter? Just curious since other than a few Case planters still running, there's not necessarily a lot...
