Float adjustment on this Double spool with detents? FORD 5000
There's 3 Flat screws on the front of this valve body. I'm hoping one of them is the FLOAT adjust. Currently if I push the lever down to the detent, the front end loader goes down and doesn't stop until the front wheels are off the ground. Please see the image for any info? Anyone know what... -

Mike this is really interesting to me. Maybe you could explain it a little more? The most recent kit I bought to get the gasket I needed included new balls and cages and those tiny cone springs. There were 3 cages with a bent leg. I don't understand why. I replace them with cages from the... -

Yes the 6 pistons and those large springs that go on them are all fine. I honestly don't understand what the balls in the cages do. A couple of the cages in the cap had come out part way and a couple of them had a bent leg. -

There's a philips screw that holds the plate on. I tighten it as hard as I can but when I remove the cap it's not that tight. Not sure why they would use a philips instead of a bolt if they wanted it really right? -

Yes I changed the plate when I rebuilt it. After I rebuild it everything was fine until it blew the gasket in the cap. I guess I didn't tighten the cap bolts enough. Anyway, now that I've re-replaced the cap gasket it won't pump. -

Ford 3000. Hydraulic was very weak so I rebuilt the pump. Works great. For about a week. Then blew the gasket in the cap and leaked a lot of fluid. So I pulled the cap and replaced the gasket. Replaced a couple of ball cages that were bent too. Reassembled and now the pump won't prime... -

Baler bearings
I did all the plunger bearings on my 273 last winter as well as the 6 bearings on the feeder finger carriage. It cost me more than the baler did. But it cost a WHOLE LOT less than a new baler or even a used round baler. Maybe now it will go another 50 years.- 86LG4T5

NH 273 baler hay wagon hitch
I was going with 10 gauge b/c I measured the thickness of the stock chute and it came out to .14 so I think it's 10 gauge. Lower hp round baler
I'm surprised nobody said Vermeer 504R Classic. I think it's rated for 40 or 50 HP and makes a 4x5 bale up to 1000 lbs. That would be my choice if I had the money. They have a net wrap option too. For older balers, Vermeer made several lower horsepower round balers over the years.- 86LG4T5

NH472 Haybine
It's not a big deal I guess, but I get grass build up between the front of the wobble box and the frame. Every 2 hours or so I have to stop and pull out a wad the size of a football. It's really crammed in there and I assume it puts pressure on the wobble box as it's tilting back and forth...- 86LG4T5
