    VAC Backfire

My VAC has developed an occasional bad habit. After she is shut down there is a 1-2 second pause and then ka-pow. Just one. Startled me the first couple of times. This is a new bad habit. No changes have been made to ignition timing, carb settings or the exhaust system. She starts and runs...

Drilling Oil Holes in 88 Crankshaft

Your better off to use a 302(99 six cylinder) crank which is already drilled. You can modify (clearance) a 310 engine oil pump which doubles your oil pressure.

    oliver66 build up

offset grind a super 66 550 crank to 2inch pin, use farmall super C rods and chev 292 pistons. Little mod. to your sleeves and you got a sweet 200 cube motor, with proper head work and ignition updates, you can get 75 horse out of this setup.

    This is awful !!

Maybe so Boco, but I'm more incline to think its probably were it belongs anyways, seeing how John Deere has made a career out of stealing the competitors inovations over the past 60 years anyways.

    stock rod lenght

    Any 265 or 283 waukasha engine is a 4 inch rod(stroke) 265 derives from a 3 3/4 inch piston and 283 cube comes from the same stroke with a 3/ 7/8 inch piston. All 310 waukasha's have a 4 3/8inch rod(stroke)

what motor do i have??? oliver 880

Why did you pull the oil pan?? Is it still off, if so could you snap a picture of the underside of the engine and post it so we could identify. Seven mains in a GK190 engine is highly unlikely unless considerable modifactions have been made.
