Going crazy with ignition problems
My only suggestion would be to make sure you have a good ground, and a strong 12v to the coil, you may even run a hot wire directly to the coil to see if it helps - my tractor is currently running off the battery and wired directly to the coil, just make sure to disconnect that wire after you...- 8mfriend

Update.. The oil was about 10% oil and 90% gas - I picked a 5qt jug of oil and drained it out - came out smelling like gas and looking like coffee.. weak coffee.. The old carb float was stuck, the gas valve was open - not a good combination - I think the reason I could not see it on the stick -...- 8mfriend

Gas, Oil and Carburetor float
Just looking for some help, I recently did some wiring on my 8n- 52 side mount I believe. Carburetor was original and needed either a kit of replacement - I think the float was stuck. So, I added a new carb, fixed the wiring issuing and the tractor fired right up.. ran it for about 45 seconds...- 8mfriend
