Did you have to move the fenders forward. Since the distance from the rear of the motor to the axle is about a foot different between a 970 and 2390?- 970puller

I am trying to find out if it is feasible to put a 30 or 70 series 8 speed in place of the power shift or if anyone has tried it.- 970puller

I am looking at a 2390 to tractor pull in a hot farm class and was wondering if anyone has put a 8 speed transmission in place of the power shift on a 90 series case.
