    16" tires/ 16.5" rims.

Any thought on putting 16" tires on 16.5" rims, using a tube? My old round balers tires are shot, but buying new ones for a baler soon to be junked is out of the question. Just need something to get me by for a month or so. I already have 16" tires, so it would be great if it would work.

    Hydraulics Question

So it sounds like i can do this as i planned...however if i were to grab two levers at one time i could potentially damage some things. I believe I understand the delema as pressure relief valves work with assuming that there is near zero pressure on the DS side. If there is pressure in the DS...

    Hydraulics Question

Wouldn't the pressure just max out at the relief pressure of the furthest downstream valve?

    Hydraulics Question

It would be very easy to keep the motor valve at the end of the system. I only envision using it to control the hydraulic motor a few times a year anyway. I will probably use it to control one of the links on my rear blade most other times with some quick connects. From the research ive done ive...

    Cletrac ag6 track guide

Hello all, I need a little advice on track guids for a cletrac ag6. The right track keeps coming off and after a little research I believe its mainly because I have no track guids...it didn't come with any when I bought it... I am planning to fab something to hold the track on using the...

    Ford 4400 Hydraulic Help

I believe I have found my issue. Took the return line off of my valve block and started tractor. No fluid came out so it wasn't making enough pressure to open the bypass. Took off the front cover of the tractor, drained hyd fluid, and removed pump. There is a coupler that goes between the pump...

    Ford 4400 Hydraulic Help

Next question, how does one get access to the front crankshaft pully and hydraulic pump...its pretty buried. What is the approach people use to get access? My thoughts are take off the radiator, shrowd, grill. Looks like the other option is to come at it from the bottom which does not look easy.

    Ford 4400 Hydraulic Help

So if the valve failed it would fail in the open position, not closed? I'm just trying to understand what will happen if I fix the pump what will happen if the valve was broken.

    Ford 4400 Hydraulic Help

How would one go about testing the relief valve. No sense in repairing the pump if I can't garentee it won't break again? Are there cheap pressure relief valves I could put in line so as to double the protection in case the valve is bad?

    Ford 4400 Hydraulic Help

If the splines are already stripped then i would need to replace the pump and the valves or relief valve? If the relief valve has failed once to strip splines it would just happen again right? If the splines are stripped is there a way to just replace the teeth or connectors or will that...

I am nearing the time to work on this tractor again. I've still got pretty much every problem that i started with and the most concerning, the transmission gets very hot during use is still an issue. Anyone got ideas? Is there anywhere else to ask for advice on this transmission?
