16" tires/ 16.5" rims.
Any thought on putting 16" tires on 16.5" rims, using a tube? My old round balers tires are shot, but buying new ones for a baler soon to be junked is out of the question. Just need something to get me by for a month or so. I already have 16" tires, so it would be great if it would work.- MJMJ

So it sounds like i can do this as i planned...however if i were to grab two levers at one time i could potentially damage some things. It would be very easy to keep the motor valve at the end of the system. I only envision using it to control the hydraulic motor a few times a year anyway. Cletrac ag6 track guide
I never really got an answer...but for ayone who comes across this I did make 2 - 18" +/- long angle guides and installed them on the back outside part of the track and they seem to have fixed all of my issues...- Aaron9876

Ford 4400 Hydraulic Help
I believe I have found my issue. Took the return line off of my valve block and started tractor. No fluid came out so it wasn't making enough pressure to open the bypass. Took off the front cover of the tractor, drained hyd fluid, and removed pump. There is a coupler that goes between the pump... -

Next question, how does one get access to the front crankshaft pully and hydraulic pump...its pretty buried. What is the approach people use to get access? My thoughts are take off the radiator, shrowd, grill. Looks like the other option is to come at it from the bottom which does not look easy. -

How would one go about testing the relief valve. No sense in repairing the pump if I can't garentee it won't break again? Are there cheap pressure relief valves I could put in line so as to double the protection in case the valve is bad? -

I am nearing the time to work on this tractor again. I've still got pretty much every problem that i started with and the most concerning, the transmission gets very hot during use is still an issue. Anyone got ideas? Is there anywhere else to ask for advice on this transmission?
