    Ingenuitive.....thanks! And yes....at least for now I have bypassed the primer pump as well. So leak averted....fired right up and purring like a kitten!

    That's why I'm a little curious about it. There is definitely some oil leaking down....but coming out of the injector ports what I'm thinking is diesel fuel is washing clean little rivers down thru the oil. I will try to get so pics. Thnx

    Thanks for the advice! And yes....I will be careful...I plan on giving her a good pressure washing and clean her up nice so that I can take some video of what's going on with the injectors. Trust me, I hope that it does end up being the valve cover....I can change that every couple of years...

    So are you saying that this pump is no longer needed and to remove it? And that if I get air in the lines gravity will take care of this? The reason I ask is because I have a fairly serious bit of fuel coming from around the injectors....and I am assuming that to fix this I will have to...

    Thank you Sir....I will check that out. And I will probably continue to use this thread to try to see why my photos aren't loading....I think when I get to tackling some of the other problems they will help. I did see where the edit function is not working at the moment....maybe it is...

    Thanks for your reply Bob....any chance of finding a replacement or will I have to go after market? I know there are all kind of little hand pumps out there....but I'd like to stick to original parts if I could....thanks!
