    While you have it apart, I recommend measuring the pistons. The valve recesses should be .121 deep if there other than this such as .159. This indicates a reliance piston which for the 1755/1750 will result in around 300# compression when new. Minimum is 350#. I would recommend a set of...

    I bought a 880 that has dual speed pto. I'm trying to figure out if it was a factory installed option or field installed option only. The tractor came from central Nebraska. Per the build card was shipped to Omaha. PTO code is for a 540 then it has code T 88 for options.

    Not sure if they ever did. They should be updated at overhaul just like the 310. Same for the rod bolts. I have seen more than a few 283's fail due to wrist pin issues. It's true they didn't have quite the issues the 310 had but still these areas are a weak link. That said I don't fear those...

    Mecum 2255

    Any body else wants to buy one. I would let mine go a bit cheaper. Mine is nice and has a factory ROPS canopy. Originally had fender tanks but I took them off to fit 30" rows. You can take this one to the field with out worry.

    1855 Brake Lag

    If it has the small brake likes that's the most likely cause. My 2255 is like that. Very annoying but not enough for me to change them out yet. I think the change was made some time mid 1973.

    It's a 1981 4-210 with a 8.3 cummins. Makes a nice tractor and far quieter. I had one with the N/A cat before it. Just too under powered.
