    Cover crop wheat

DanielW, cutting and dry-baling wheat or other cereals, would you do it like you do regular grass baling? Cut, let it dry to right moisture then bale?

    1086 Low Pressure on Remote(s)

Thanks for that workaround to the flowmeter caterpillar.

    1086 Low Pressure on Remote(s)

Thanks for the quick response and advice. I will get one and replace it and report back.

    1086 Low Pressure on Remote(s)

Well not sure if I'd describe it weak but it's slow to raise my JD7100 4-row planters. Once up it will hold them there even at idle. But raises them pretty slow. Didn't try shutting it off to see if it would hold them. When hooking remote to my haybine it will raise the cutterhead, but again...

    1086 Low Pressure on Remote(s)

Thanks for your help. I will get one ordered and let you know how it goes. I'm curious, since this valve is located on the 3-point housing would it also affect pressure in the 3-point hitch?

    1086 Low Pressure on Remote(s)

Kevin, is this the correct valve?

    1086 Low Pressure on Remote(s)

Looking at the parts catalog it breaks it down into two different versions - with draft control and without draft control. I have a draft control on my 3-point but on that diagram it is called a CUSHION RELIEF VALVE but on model without draft control its called PILOT RELIEF VALVE. I'm assuming...

    1086 Low Pressure on Remote(s)

In follow-up to my post earlier this week about the problem of not being able to lift the disc behind my 1086, the suggestions were to get a pressure reading and if possible a flow-rate. Couldn't get a flowmeter but did get the pressure gauge. Both remote outlets only generate 1000psi...

1086 Won't Raise Load On Remotes

Tractor Vet, He couldn't get the flowmeter so since I only have the reading from pressure gauge (1,000psi max) is that enough info to warrant any sort decision or not really? As I understand it the pump is "flow" and the springs/valve/regulator/etc more directly affects pressure due to...

1086 Won't Raise Load On Remotes

Pressure checked in both remotes. Both got a 1000psi @ 1900rpm. The one that's used more often leaked down to 500psi after I shut the tractor off.

1086 Won't Raise Load On Remotes

Ok, checked pressure. Could only get 1000psi @ 1900rpm on both remotes.

1086 Won't Raise Load On Remotes

Ok, got his gauge tonight and plugged into both remotes. Revved up to 1900 RPM and only got 1000psi at max. On the remote that is used more often I noticed when I shut tractor down its pressure backed down about 350 psi right off then slowly crept down to 500psi. Does that shed any more...

1086 Won't Raise Load On Remotes

Maybe this is the diagram I should have been referring to for controlling flow to remotes??? Hopefully this afternoon's pressure and flow test provide a clearer picture.

1086 Won't Raise Load On Remotes

Ahhh, thanks for correcting me. It's possible that I used the wrong term or maybe I missed something in the diagram or (more likely) was just a wrong assumption. The valves that I were thinking of were the ones here, but if these are not involved with the remote circuit then I guess they...

1086 Won't Raise Load On Remotes

You know, I thought about that last night. Certainly wouldn't hurt. I also wondered since I found sort of a cruddy look on that screen and given that the tractor didn't get a whole lot of use last year I wonder if that same "crudiness" could have created issues inside with those flow valves in...
