    Hay mow or Hayloft???

May be a regional north/south thing, like ponds and tanks....we always called it a loft on the Texas ranch, and I never heard it called a mow until today. But I don"t get out much.........

    Paint Codes for 1953 Jubilee

you will notice the numbers I gave, right off the Tisco cans, are the same as the Ford code numbers. My cans are nearly 4 years old, so maybe Tisco changed the numbers? And of course you know the Tisco paint is made by Van Sickle.

    Paint Codes for 1953 Jubilee

The Tisco paint often used is vermillion red #TP2822 and the medium gray #M13243. I think you will find the paint sold by New Holland matches these same base colors. If you use Tisco I suggest adding a hardner, and a clear coat if you want it to remain bright on the red.

Iffn ya need a good laugh

LOL! had me in tears! My Dad had similar experience in late fifties, using dynamite to dig a cistern...all going well until he tried some black powder a neighbor had. Dad was a WWII vet, knew explosives...dynamite always blew DOWN, fragmented rock, nothing came out the top of the well/cistern...

    O/T Knock Out Roses

I bet it will recover without any cut back, all it needs is water water water....you can't hardy kill those things, have only seen them die from lack of water...... If it does die, plant some more. Great decorative and hardy plant, down south anyway. You should never spray insecticide on them...

    OT/ Some People - Rant

Just my opinion, but dogs and mowers do not mix, will clip those legs off so fast you wouldn't believe it. And dogs in the road? You were asking for a problem.

    Ford 6000 diesel

You should post on the Ford board rather than get all these anti-Ford comments that don"t answer your question. The later year model Ford 6000 Commander ("66-67)is much improved over the original 6000 that with the defective SOS, but even those in restored condition and SOS overhaul can bring...

    1953 ford golden jubliee hood

Good luck is all I can say, very rare and no reproductions being made that I am aware. I bought piece parts from several individuals and put the best pieces together, sold the leftovers. It took 2 years to find enough decent restorable pieces for one complete hood.

    Picture for Today

Holt Cat is still the big dog Cat dealer in the DFW Texas area, assume it derives from the original Holt Bros, not sure. It takes big money to get a Cat franchise.

    NAA

My Jub was doing that when using a blade, pulling hard then raising blade etc over and over. I reduced idle speed on the carb and shorted gov/carb linkage by 1/4" and it helped. Red Tiger engines seems to do that when going from loaded to nothing but reducing throttle will stop it until you go...

    Would you pay $500?......

I guess the Ford people get a big chuck of that $$ for those prints. say, I have never seen an actual Jub in row crop configuration---did they make a factory version in 1953? I don't think so. Walt
